What a Good Girl!

Thursday, Emery, Jillie, and I went over to Dawn's house to have a play date. Cari and Noah and Grannie B came over too. We had a great time. The girls just love Noah. He and Jillie spent most of the day hugging each other.
After lunch, Dawn gave the girls fudge sickles and we sent them out on the back porch. Jillie couldn't help but share hers. She is such a giver!!

Dinner with a Younger Man...
This is my precious Phillip.
I try and get together with him and David (his brother) every chance I get. Lately, we have been going to dinner together. This works great. They pick the place and I get them all to myself while we eat. Saturday I picked Phillip up after work (David had to get his cell phone from a friend's house) and we went to Longhorn. Yum!! When ever we are together I tell him I love him and how precious he is. This goes over really great with a 12 year old boy. So I told him that if he said I love you too just once every 100 times I say it, maybe I wouldn't say it so much. (Good Luck with that Phillip!) He just looks at me and rolls his eyes. So I say, "Well, I was going to take you to Target after this and get you a treat." He looks me straight in the eye and says, "I love you!"
I will take it. he..he..

Seven Down and Only Me to Go

The Wheels on the Bus Go...
First they do-
The Wheels on the bus go round and round...
The Windows on the bus go up and down...
The Wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish...
The Mommy on the bus says, Shh, Shh,Shh...
The Daddy on the bus says, I will spank...(This is so funny. He can't stand the noise.)
The Grandma on the bus says, Sneeze, Sneeze, Cough...(What can I say, she's old.)
The Mimi on the bus says, Don't do that...(I do try.)
The Jillian on the bus says, Waaa, Waaa, Waaa...
The Emery on the bus says, Clap, Clap, Clap...
The Madisen on the says, Look at That...
These are all so fitting. I had to laugh when Monica told me about them, but then to hear the girls sing it is even better.
The girls along with almost all the nieces and nephews call me Mimi. Savannah, who is 13 now, started it. She couldn't say Misty so Mimi is was and is. Also, you have probably figured this out but, Kris' mom, Karin lives with them. She is 88 and knows Tommy Monson. (President Monson to the rest of us.) She served in the General Relief Society at one time too. She is getting on in years and doesn't remember a whole lot about those days, but she does remember Tommy. Isn't that funny? She will further more be know as Grandma K.
Pictures Anyone?

FYI
I am a nanny, which I love. I got my first nanny job when I was 21. One boy with another on the way. David was 2 at the time and Phillip was born 4 months to the day later. They are a huge part of my life and I don't know what I would do without them. I was their nanny for 12 years up until I left last June. I still see them all the time and Phillip is like my own. He doesn't know a world or life without me in it.
Moving on was the hardest thing I have ever had to do so far in my life. For twelve years I had put them first and as my main priority. It was very heart breaking to realize that the time was right for me to move on. I truly felt like I was abandoning them. Phillip really took it hard. I ended up working very part time for them for a couple of months to make the transition better for Phillip.
The reason I left, besides the fact that the boys where 11 and 13 at the time, is because a new nanny job came out of the blue and landed in my lap. The Murphy's (my current employers) where getting ready to move here to Huntsville from the Cullman area and were looking for a LDS nanny. So Monica, emailed all the RS presidents in my stake and asked for them to spread the word around.
I am the secretary in our primary so part of my Sunday job is to go into RS and get announcements for the sisters who are in Primary. And wouldn't you know it, my RS president passed the email from Monica onto me. I wasn't really looking for a new job at the time but couldn't pass up the opportunity. So later that day I called Monica on the phone. We met the next day at a restaurant here in town and as they say, the rest is history. I have been with them now for almost a year. We have three girls, Madisen-6, Emery-4, and Jillian-2.
So I went from 2 almost grown boys to 3 little girls. Anyone, who says that boys and girls aren't different, hasn't been around my boys and my girls. I went from bringing home rocks and bugs in my pockets to hair bows and glitter. The girls are a lot more loving too. I think that has more to do with age and the girls come from a very loving home. The boys not so much.
The other joy in my life is my family. I am one of eight and currently have 16 nieces and nephews. I love and adore every single one of them.
So as you visit my blog you will see many, many kiddos. My girls have family that are living out of town that I know will get a kick out of reading about them. The girls last nanny K will love it too. She misses them desperately although she is busy with a new one of her own that she and her hubby just adopted.
I will try and keep everyone straight. I hope you all enjoy!!
