Let's Get Ready to Rumble...

W loves to wrestle. Having two little sisters, he doesn't get a chance to do it very often. So I decided that I would get down in the floor and wrestle with him a couple of days ago.
Now, I have 5 brothers so I know a little something about wrestling,
OR at least I thought I did.
He kicked my butt.
I had/have more bruises then I think I have ever had at one time in my life.
I guess he was impressed though because he told me...
"You are 8 times good."
I thought that wasn't too bad.
Then he says..."I'm 10 times good though."
I thought...You're Right!!

Kids...

P and her mommy went to see a play several weeks ago. It was "Alice in Wonderland." P loved it. She talks about it all the time. A couple of days ago she asks me..."Um, Misty, can you stand on your head?" I wondered where she got that but didn't put two and two together. I said, "No, I'm too old."
Then she says, "I can, see!!"
(Remember in "Alice" when the Cheshire cat stands on his head.)
Another.....
Monday we were in the van driving around and the girls were watching "Shrek." They love this movie. They don't get most of it, but still think it's funny. Anywho, P says to me..."Um, Misty, you know what, Shrek is like a yunion (onion). He has layers."
She is a very funny girl.

I Love Me Some...

teenage boys!
Wait, that didn't come out right.
What I meant to say is....I love my teenage boys!!
I got to hang out with David (15 years old now, he just got his driving permit) and Phillip (13 years old) a couple days ago. I can only go so long without seeing them, so every couple of weeks I call them up and we go out to lunch or dinner. They are very sweet and catch me up on everything going on in their lives.
So, this last time, we went and got pizza. After we eat they like to go to Target or Wal-Mart and look around. While at Wal-Mart, Phillip finds a Xbox game that he NEEDS. It cost $39.95 and he had $40.00 on him. He then looks at me with those beautiful brown eyes and says..."Can I borrow enough money for taxes?"
How can I resist I ask you?
We go to the check out and he pays his $40.00 and I pay the rest, which was $3.16. He was so excited. You see, "he has only had one Xbox game since he got it for his birthday." He then tells me that he will pay me back when I drop him back off.
We get to their house and I get a "Thanks" from David, (Anyone with a 15 year old in their life understands.) and an "I'll be right a back" from Phillip.
(Now, let me take a little break and explain something to everyone. David and Phillip don't live in a normal home. They do NOT hug and kiss each other. Not just David and Phillip, I know boys aren't much into kissing and hugging each other, but their parents too. Their Mom and Dad don't hug and kiss each other and RARELY hug and kiss the boys.
I am a very lovey person and I hugged and kissed them from the very beginning. When Phillip was around 4, his Dad decided that it was weird that he still kissed me and told Phillip it was gross. I don't know why, but he did. Anywho, my reason for telling you all this is to say... David and Phillip don't hug or kiss buuuuuut, I am always trying.)
Back to the story....Phillip runs inside to get the money he owes me and comes back out with a $5. He then says..."Here take this, you can keep the extra for taking me out to eat." How cute is he? I, of course, said no and that I wanted him to keep it. He tried to make me take it and threw it in the window of my car.
So, I said, "I don't want your money, but you can give me a hug!" (I fear you underestimate the sneakiness!!)(Have you seen that movie? Funny!)
And yes, ladies and gentlemen, I got a big hug.
ALL WORTH IT!!

Kids...

A couple of days ago I was helping P get ready to go into town. I was picking something out of the closet and she was getting some panties on. She looks in her drawer and pulls out a pair of Dora panties and says...
"Yea, Dora panties. I love Dora. One day I will get Mommy to take me to the pantie store and get you some big Dora panties!"
Ahhh.
I really appreciated her not saying huge or gigantic Dora panties.
She is a sweetie!

Kids Say...

#1...
Last week I was putting A (18 months) down for a nap. I had given her a bottle and we were snuggled up in the rocking chair. I was in a hurry for some reason and as soon as her eyes closed, I put her in her crib, covered her up and turned to leave. As soon as I got to the door and opened it up I hear, "Bu bye!"
Needless to say there was a little more rocking to be done.
#2...
P (3) and I were talking the other day about something. She loves to talk about stuff and then say how silly it is. So we are talking and she says,
" That is so Wack-a-do."
I don't know were she got this but I thought it was so funny coming from her.
#3...
P and W(4) have been sick alot lately. Just when we think they are getting better, they get worse or get something else. So, they have missed several weeks of church. In the mail the other day they got a letter from their SS teacher that had a summary of the things that they had missed. They requested that we read the info to the kids and D asked me to read it to them and discuss. So yesterday after dinner, I pulled it out and sat them down. We talked about their bodies, how God made them and that he made everybody different. We talked about it being good that everybody is different. I asked W if he wanted to look like his sister P or even me. Of course the answer was no.
So I was wrapping it up and saying to W, "Aren't you glad you have brown hair and P has blond hair?" He says, "Yeah, and your hair is kind of a GRAY color."
Ouch, I prefer blond!!

Who Loves You Babies...

I pride myself on being SUPER AUNT.

I love my nieces and nephews more than anything and am so proud of each and every one of them.

So I got this idea a couple of weeks ago to have all my "babies" put on my car. I talked to a friend of mine in my ward, and she made me 17 stick kids for my back window and an "Aunt Mimi" to go with them. I was so excited, I couldn't wait to get them this past Sunday and put them on today.

So here is the before...

and here is the after...

I hope you can see how cute it is. I absolutely love it.

There are 10 girls and 7 boys.

(There is another girl on the way but she isn't included on the window yet, just in case she turns out to be a he.) grin...

That is a total of 17 . They are in birth order with Kayt (almost 17) being first and so on and so forth.

All of my babies are so important to me and I can't imagine life without them.

I am truly blessed!
