Home!

Jillian has started saying the cutest thing when I get here in the morning. She is usually watching cartoons and will turn around when I get here and say, "Mimi Home!!" It is so cute. I love that she loves when I "get home." Got to love her!

Salmon Patties!

I have been asked to post my salmon patty recipe so here it goes...

1 can of salmon (drain about half the liquid, and take out bones)
1/2 white onion-diced (this can be adjusted to more or less)
1/2 cup crushed Saltines (if I'm in a hurry, I do use bread crumbs on occasion)
1 egg
salt and pepper

Combine all ingredients. Make into patties. (Any size is fine.)
Mix together 1 part (about a cup) flour with 2 parts (about 2 cups) cornmeal. This will make more than you need, but I would rather have too much than not enough. Cover each patty with the flour/cornmeal mixture and fry in skillet in hot Crisco Shortening. Squeeze fresh lemon juice on them and serve.
I usually double this recipe because they are really good the next day too.

Hope you all enjoy.

I Often Go Walking...

The girls and I like to go on walks together. Monica walks with them alot too. So today, we decided to go on a walk together. Emery rode her bike, Madisen rode her bike and then scooter, and Jillie rode in the stroller. We always have a great time. This is a time to talk and see nature and all that jazz. So we are walking along and the girls decide that we have gone far enough, but of course we are a couple of streets away from the house and have to keep walking. Madisen starts saying that we are all getting exercise. Then Emery says, "Yeah, we are getting lots of extra-cise!!" I laughed very hard and assured them both that we were indeed getting lots of extra-cise.

Note to Tooth Fairy!

This is the note that Madisen left for the tooth fairy-

Dera: tooth Ferry

take my tooth.
with you. it is yours now.
I love you tooth Ferry.

Is that not the cutest thing? She is standing beside me and wants me to correct it for her, but I won't. That is what makes it so cute.

Can you believe those eyes?

I don't even remember when I took this picture. It was at my house on a Thursday night, Cari, Noah, Dawn and me get together every Thursday night for girls night. I can't get over how blue his eyes are.

Fun in the Sun!

These are a few pics I thought were cute. We had a family picnic up on the mountain a while ago and had a great time. Nate was so cute. He is getting so big and thought that he could do it all, and pretty much could.

Nate getting ready to slide down the biggest slide they had. Carden was a little unsure if he could do it, but he did.

This a picture from one of Gavin's soccer games. (Gav is on the left.) He was so cute. I think he going to be a goalie when he grows up. He really did a great job and most of all, had fun.

This one is of Jillie at one of Ty's baseball games. Ty's games are literally down the road from the girls house and so we met them there a little while ago. The girls had a blast. Emery and I yelled for Ty and we had some really good concession stand food.
The girls like being around the family. They fit right in with all of us.

Milestone!

I went over to Cari's house again today to do some work on my blog. Hence all the new posts and pictures. And decided to bring a gift-Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Noah had never had one so I got him a special one with sprinkles. Needless to say, he enjoyed it very much.

Although, he did wear more in the end, then eat.

Garden Club

Or as I like to call it, Play Date. This past week we were at Sarah's house. It was a little wet and sprinkling but we did it anyway. Noah decided to just get right in there and help....er.....play! He actually fell over at one point into the mud and when I went to help him up, just stuck his hand right in the mud and swished it around.

His shoe got stuck in the mud so he promptly abandoned it.

This is his "I can't believe I am getting away with this" look. He had so much fun.
After a while we cleaned him up and I took all the kids inside to watch a movie. (This is the real reason I come. My babies together at one place, you know I am there.)
All the moms got quite a bit done in the yard too!

She's a Big Girl Now!!

Before!

After!

Madisen and I pulled her first tooth on Saturday. It had been loose for a couple of months now. No that is not a type-o, it really has been loose for that long. The tooth had moved a good bit to the right in her mouth and started to turn brown. Her gums were red and had started to swell. She just really wanted it to come out on its own.
After really trying to pull it for a couple of days (Mad would give me one or two tries a day
to get a good pull on it but that was it) I finally talked her into letting me
pull until it came out. The promise of a piece of cake helped a little too.
We did it in two sessions. One before nap and one after. She would pull and twist and then I
would get a turn. Finally after a little bit, it came out. She was so happy and I was so proud of her.
After it was all over, she got her cake and felt it was all worth it. She even thanked me several
times later that day. She put her tooth in a ziploc bag that she had prepared in January (it hasn't been loose that long but she is a planner) and put in under her pillow.
I found out yesterday that the tooth fairy (which she knows is Mom and Dad) gave her $5. Not bad for her first tooth. She wrote the cutest note to the tooth fairy. I am going to see if I can borrow it from the tooth fairy and I will add it later.
I am so proud of her and love that I was able to be there and help her.
I love her very much!

It's Not What You Think!

Jillian is an obsession kind of girl. First it was Lalela. (Cinderella to you and me.) She needed Lalela panties, books, and pj's. She even had a play wand and would pretend to turn us all into Lalela. She could spot Cinderella anything at 20 paces. I can't tell you how many times I went on a Lalela search, trying to find what Jillian needed me to see. She would yell out "LALELA" every time.

Well, she has recently moved on. Now the obsession is Hello Kitty. She has Hello Kitty panties, sunglasses, and a new Hello Kitty watch. She loves it. She also likes to tell me when she sees Hello Kitty now. So, there I am, walking around Wal-Mart minding my own buisness when she yells out, "TIDDY!" You can guess what everyone around thinks she is saying. It is quite funny.

I have started this thing with the girls. I give them PEZ dispensers for little gifts. Heart ones on Valentines Day, Bunny ones on Easter, and they love them. So today we are at Wal-Mart and Jillian sees a new PEZ dispenser that she must have. Oh Yeah! You guessed it..... TIDDY!!

Out of the mouth of babes... I mean big guls!

Lunch with Two Younger Men...

I got to meet up with David and Phillip on Saturday. I just love to see them. I called on Friday and asked if I could get for lunch on Saturday. Phillip said yes and David said he would call me in the morning and let me know if he could go. Which is of course code for... let me see if anything better comes up. What can I say, he's 14. But, he did call Saturday morning and said he wanted to come.

So we headed to the mall and had lunch. Phillip had some money burning a hole in his pocket and needed to look and the knife shop there. He loves knives. You know, a pocket knife like thing. Don't anyone get worried. So he talked and talked to the very nice man that worked there and finally decided on the one he wanted. The guy working there was great. He answered all of Phillip's questions, and let me tell you, there were a lot.

Then we headed over to R/C Hobbies. Phillip got a big r/c car for Christmas. It runs on gas. It is really big. He had taken it in for some repairs and we picked it up.

Next, we ran by my new little house so I could show if off. They loved it. They both did good with the ohhs and ahhs, even for boys. They were both disappointed to find out that they are going to be out of town the day I am moving. Well, I should say, Phillip was disappointed (those that know Phillip, know he is a work horse) and David said, "Ah, to bad."

Finally, we headed back to their house. We all had a great time. I treasure any time I get with them. They are getting older and hanging out with friends alot more. That is why I bribe them with food. Works, almost, every time.

Catch Up!

I know, I know, just call me Sarah. he...he...(You know I love you!)

Anywho, things have been really crazy lately. Monica has recently started a new schedule of five nights on, five days off. So she gets five whole days off to hang out and love on the girls. But of course that means I get several days off in a row too. Not quite five, but a couple. And I still don't have Internet at home so, anyway here we are.

First, I have found and rented a little house. I am so excited about it. I can't wait to move and be in a house again.

Second, the girls are getting so big and changing so much. Jilly is talking up a storm. Her big thing right now is, "I a big gul." If you call her baby, Jilly, Bean, anything, she will tell you no and that she's a big gul. She is also saying Madisen and Emery names. It is so cute, she calls Madisen-Madi and Emery-Eme. The two older girls just love it. It is very, very, cute.

Emery is finished with Pre-school and very excited to start Kindergarten. She is happy to have some days in between though. She even had a little graduation at the Botanical Gardens a week or so ago. I missed it, because I was in church but she loved it. I am loving having her home.

Madisen has about 6 and a half days left in First Grade. She is looking forward to the summer break very much. She likes school and loves to see her friends but, she likes swimming, and playing outside better. We have her signed up for a week long camp this summer and she can't wait. I will miss her terribly but, she isn't really worried about it.

They are all getting bigger and more beautiful and hilarious by the minute. I am a very lucky girl.
