i LOVE my...

DVR!!!
I really don't think I can LIVE without it. I don't watch TV the same anymore. I DVR everything so I can fast forward through the commercials. I don't know the last time I watched a commercial and I have to say, "WooHoo"!
I never miss my fav shows anymore and I must admit there are several. I love it when there isn't anything on TV to watch too, because then I just go to my list and pick something.
Sometimes, it's the little things in life that make me happy! grin:)

If You Could, Would You...

go back and change anything in your life?
I can't remember who asked me this recently but they were surprised when I said, "Yes".
It's not that I have any HUGE regrets but I think some choices I made, put me on a different path.
As most of you know, I am still single and a whopping 34 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would still be single. I remember when my sister D got married at 23, thinking she was old. (Remember we are 4 years apart so I was only 19.) I know it's crazy now, but at the time, that is what I thought. I wonder if choices I made in the past, have delayed some of the things I wanted/want most in life. I think the thing I miss most is the feeling of being settled. The thought of renting another apartment and not knowing how long I will be there, making all the decisions in life by myself, not having babies of my own, is frustrating. I know that I am who I am today because of the things that have happened in my life thus far and the decisions I've made....but, given the chance I would go back and change things, IF I can take what I know now with me.
What do you guys think? If you could, would you??

Kids Say and Do...

well, you know.
W (the 41/2 year old little boy that I nanny now) does this thing all the time. He puts his finger to his temple and says, "Think, think, think".
(I don't think he got it from Winnie the Pooh either. I think he got it from another show called :Pinky Dinky Doo. Anyway, he does it about everything. What movie to watch, what snack to have, everything. So the other day I was helping P (3 year old sister to W) get dressed and she was trying to figure out what she wanted to wear.
She sits for a minute and then she says, :Stink, stink, stink!!
I just laughed and laughed. I wonder if she wonders why W says "stink" all the time.
A couple of days ago I was putting A (17 month old sister to W and P) down for a nap. She still takes a bottle before nap (don't judge) and then gets rocked for a little while she falls asleep. (again, don't judge, he..he..)
After her bottle I cuddle her down and cover her up with her blanky. I cover her completely up head to toe so that she can't see anything and she falls asleep quicker and easier.
So she finished her bottle the other day and I started to cuddle her down, she pulls her blanky up, covers her head and lays down on my chest.
I had to laugh.

Kids Say the Darndest Things

So the other day I 'm taking care of a dirty diaper, that Alexis made special just for me, and Paris is near by and very interested in the whole ordeal.
Believe me when I say "special", it was record book big and because of the way she laid down, it came out the back of her diaper too.
So I am getting Alexis all cleaned up and Paris says..."Wow, that really sticks!"
I'm thinking, I know.
Then she says,
"I'm glad that is your job and not mine."
Of course all the the love and hugs and kisses make up for the dirty diapers and being puked on, twice, in a matter of four days.
One of the many things I love about kids is, how their little minds work. I love to hear the things that come out of their mouths. Now truthfully would I like to be home and not in public when most of this stuff is said...
Absolutely!!
Oh, and p.s... I love my job!!!

Two Thumbs...

way up!!!
This past Friday a bunch of us gals went to see Twilight.
I have really been looking forward to this movie. I have read all four books, TWICE.
My sis, Cari, let me borrow them a couple of months ago. I was out of work at the time and read them all in a little under a week.
Then when I heard the movie was coming out, I read them again so I would remember everything.
Overall, I really, really liked it. I was afraid it would get too
gruesome once "Hollywood" got a hold of it, but it wasn't at all. The thing I love the most about the movie and the books for that matter, is the love story.
So, bottom line...
I highly recommend it and can't wait to see it again and own it so I can watch it over and over and over. I will probably be reading the books again as soon as I can get them from my other sis, Dawn, who hasn't read them yet but I believe will be starting tonight.
(Good Luck putting it down!!)
